CONTINUOUS "U"-SHAPED INSULATION FORMING AND INSERTION INTO THE DC MOTOR ARMATURE SLOTS (ACM125)

ACM125 is a readjustable automatic machine, designed for continuous paper insulation laying into DC motor armature "U"-shaped open slots. Raw material is a roll of insulation paper with the appropriate width. A combined gravity magazine is used for armature blanks loading and finished armatures unloading, disposed bellow the main supporting plate. On the machine supporting plate are disposed the main machine units as follows:
- armature heaving and feeding mechamism;
- armature locating (indexing) mechanism and insulation forming unit;
- insulation cutting-off mechanism;
- mechanism for guiding and laying paper insulation against the armature slot;
- armature clamping device;
- armature slot pre-indexing mechanism;
- insulation paper feeding unit;
- insulation paper reel support.
Machine concept allows easy readjustment for different armature varieties of various slot insulation width. Main advantage of continuous slot insulation technology is the covering of all sharp armature edges that prevents the copper wire conductor/coil from scratching during the winding and inserition process.
