BEARING INSERTION PRESS FOR DC MOTOR ARMATURES (ACM130.02)

The hydraulic press ÀÑÌ130.02 is equipped for the insertion of the bearings on the armature and the DC motor shield, where the pressing method allows the same machine to be used for the processing of other workpiece varieties with the provision of suitable tooling.
The machine frame is made out of aluminum profiles and a steel supporting plate that is also part of the lower machine traverse. The machine consists of two columns with upper and lower traverse with vertical slide, precisely guided on linear bearings.
The lower tool has a flange and two centered bushings with spring actuated plungers. The upper pressing tool is actuated by means of a hydraulic cylinder through two manual valves with handles, pressed by the operator during the working cycle.
The front shield of the DC motor together with the bearing that is to be mounted are placed on the lower tool, guided inside the plunger. Then the armature drive end is introduced in the plunger, leaning the armature stack on the back support. The second bearing that is to be mounted on the commutator end of teh shaft is placed on the upper tool. By pressing the two handles downwards the press slide is lowered until the lower shaft shoulder meets the inner ring of the bearing on the shield and the upper bearing inner ring meets the opposite shaft shoulder, thus allowing bearing assembly by the pressing force, passing through the armature shaft.
