HYDRAULIC FORMING PRESS FOR LINK CONDUCTORS OF DC MOTOR STATOR SERIES COILS (ACM130.04)

The ÀÑÌ130.04 hydraulic forming press is designed and tooled up for the shaping of three particular link conductor varieties for DC motor stator series coils. The machine can be accommodated to process other link conductor varieties with provision of the necessary tooling.
The hydraulic press is build on a aluminum frame and consists of upper and lower robust traverses, connected with two round precisely ground and surface hardened columns. The columns serve as guideways of the mobile traverse, to which the punch holder plate of the forming tool is fixed. To the main supporting plate is fixed the immobile die of the forming tool. Two hydraulic cylinders are provided on the machine: upper (main) cylinder and lower cylinder used as a spring. The machine working stroke is performed by the upper cylinder that is actuated by means of two 3-positon hand valves (operated together with respect to operator's safety).
The link conductor forming process is started with loading of the blank material (flat copper wire cut to the required length) on the heaved workpiece seat profiled as per the copper wire dimensions. The upper traverse is then lowered towards the wire and the punch is introduced in the forming die (maintained in upper position by means of the lower hydraulic cylinder) to shape the middle part of the copper conductor. When the pinch is fully introduced inside the die, both pinch and die continue their travel in downward direction to bend the two wire ends of the link conductor.
