SEMI-AUTOMATIC ARMATURE COMMUTATOR INSERTION MACHINE (АCM152)

The ACM152 machine is designed for the commutator inserting operation into the DC motor armatures. The machine frame that carries and supports all main machine units, has a structure of extruded aluminum profiles with a solid steel upper plate. On the main supporting steel plate are disposed the commutator inserting mechanism and the armature clamping device.
The commutator insertion mechanism engages the commutator in a determined angular position and inserts the commutator onto the armature shaft. The unit consists of two brackets, fixed to the main supporting plate of the machine, linked by means of the two round guideways 4. Along the guideways is driven a slide, actuated by a hydraulic cylinder. An electric sensor measures the pressure in the hydraulic system, thus detecting indirectly the commutator pressing force and the quality of the commutator assembly on the armature respectively. A three-contact sensor detects the end positions of the slide, as well as the moment, at which to start reading the hydraulic pressure. On the slide is mounted a bush with  changeable flange set for the specific commutator variety.
The armature clamping device serves for positioning and tightening the armature in the required position for commutator installation.
