AUTOMATIC VACUUM CLEANER CYLINDRICAL BRUSH ASSEMBLING MACHINE (ACM62)

АСМ62 is an automatic 4-position machine, designed for the assembling of cylindrical rotary brushes of vacuum cleaners. Machine frame is made out of aluminum profiles that carry the main supporting plate with the machine units. On the main supporting plate is disposed a 4-position indexing rotary table, upon which is fixed additional plate with four clamping devices for correct positioning of the assembled parts.
The following operations are performed on the four working positions:
POSITION I - Manual unloading of the finished part and loading of the blanks. The different clamping devices on each of the four working positions provide steady fastening of the components during the assembling process. Correct positioning of the parts during their shifting to the next working position is ensured by means of a catch lock.
POSITION II – Drilling holes on the brush core for the insertion of the fiber tufts. Drilling is done vertically with a spindle, driven by an AC motor through a belt transmission. The feeding rate of the quill that carries the spindle is is regulated by the air pressure of its pneumatic cylinder. The drilling unit is disposed a slide, shifted along linear bearing guideways.
POSITION ІІІ –Insertion of fiber tufts into the brush core holes, performed by means of the following three mechanisms:
- fiber tuft feeding mechanism that feeds the necessary quantity of fibers to loading position;
- bar anchor loading mechanism that cuts off and feeds the metal strip that fixes the fiber tuft to the brush core;
- inserting mechanism that introduces the fiber tuft together with the bar anchor inside the brush hole.
POSITION IV - Trimming the ends of the fiber tufts, performed by means of a rotating shear that is retracted outside the rotary table after processing is finished.
